The idea was simple… Budweiser is searching for the best crew in America.
Our team created the ultimate interactive brand experience to make that happen. Band of Buds was a national contest that dared participants to log on, grab some buds, and hit the streets for a wild ride of challenges that tested their friendships like never before. Crews signed up at bandofbuds.com, built their profiles, uploaded content, and threw their hats in the ring for a shot at hometown glory. Local events featured a series of game-show-like competitions to determine who was ready for the next level. 25 winners from across the country scored a one-way ticket to Las Vegas, where they'd battle it out in the ultimate showdown for a $100K prize and a spot in Rolling Stone.
As expected, beer fanatics everywhere were diving in headfirst, and bringing their A-game. Crews earned points for creativity, viral shares, and how they flexed the brand in their feeds. The user-generated content was so raw and organic that Budweiser had us feature it in ads to amplify the program.
The entire experience was wild, electrifying, and fueled by the King of Beers.
